Last week on Molly's birthday Emily needed something to cover her shoulders..a cover up. She asked if she could borrow a shawl..She grabbed my Rae..http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/rae-2
I knit this last November and put it in a basket and forgot about it. She wrapped it around her back and draped it over her shoulders and she looked SO CUTE..She made it into a bolero...I was so impressed with her genius way of wearing this quirky little scarf/shawl.
I have been knitting lots, but I have been mostly cutting out 880 2x2 squares for a quilt I am working on. I picked a quilt out of a book and now I am realizing it is the most time consuming quilt in the WHOLE book..it is all the small cutting and sewing...

Wish me luck...
I made a quilt with 4x4 inch squares once. The last one I made, I used 10x10 inch. You can see how I felt about the time consuming nature of the 4x4. You are a brave mama! :) The tiny little squares are adorable though. I can't wait to see the finished quilt. Emily's bolero is so cute!
ReplyDeleteThe shawl is so pretty on your beautiful daughter...and I love the way she tied it on...I'm sure your quilt will be perfect!...I love the fabrics going into it...
