Andrew took a bottle this weekend for the first time. We bought a bottle and some formula over the weekend because little man has been eating and nursing more and more and I am thinking the milk from mama is running low.
I always run low on supplies when they reach about 5-6 months old. I think it may have to do with the running/lack of rest. A nursing mom said that if you can nap for 10 minutes a day you keep a better supply of milk. I CAN'T nap! I am super tired some days, but my brain races and then I am more up than ever when I lay down!! So I have never gotten to test the ten minutes to more milk theory.
But since that first bottle of milk the girls have been GOING crazy BEGGING me to let them feed him. It is always so hard watching your baby take a bottle for the first time...like all of a sudden they don't need you as much and the beginning of the end is near (like 18 years from now...but this is the first of many steps).
I have had fun watching the girls share a bottle feeding the last few days. He has taken 1 bottle a day for 3 days now. Each bottle is broken into 1 ounce per girl...they each sit there and WAIT for their ounce to come. It is really VERY sweet!!
I have plans to go to an all day home school conference the end of June and Pete will be able to keep Drew here now. It has been harder and harder to take Drew with me places. He gets pretty heavy these days and he is not a fan of nursing in loud busy places. So...all month we will be getting ready for mama's full day away.
Our home school group had a Kindergarten Graduation this morning. It was so cute and simple!!
Jack does not like being the center of attention, but he did love the extra lovin' he got this morning.
And I was glowing all morning because before we left my neighbor ran outside and asked if he could get a family picture. I was SUPER excited about the one he took and it made me happy thinking I FINALLY got a picture of all of us!!
