My Little Guy had a much better afternoon and evening after I published my last post. He actually let 3 people in a row hold him. And since I had just posted about never getting pictures I had the presence of mind to grab my camera. And then I noticed he was wearing the Milo vest I finished knitting last week. I thought..perfect...baby shots and knitting news all in one post.
And because I am listening to a GREAT book throughout the day and night while nursing, I even have a book to share...
The White Queen by Philipa Gregory.
Christa told me about this book long ago and since I needed something to listen to as I sit for HOURS nursing I got this book and LOVE it!! Getting up at 2:30 to nurse is much easier with this book to listen to...
What, you say?? I don't just sleep through Drew getting up to nurse??? No, No, No..this little guy does not like to nurse with me laying down. He will not settle down until I am upright. So every night I prop pillows up and sit up as much as I can while still leaning my head back never letting him in on the fact that I am half laying. He like his meals with me fully alert and engaged...but it is not all that bad. I make sure he eats enough and is happy before laying him back down in his bassinet. It is working right now ..especially with a book to listen to.
I'm so glad you had a better afternoon! He must have known you wrote about him:)) My little Pete is my FIRST baby to let me nurse laying down. But last week (7 weeks old) I put him in his crib and he slept much better. He's the noisiest baby EVER!! I hope you have a good night tonight.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad he cooperated a bit more for you so you could take those sweet photos! What a cutie. I love the vest! You did a fantastic job. :)
ReplyDeleteSweet photos:) Yes, sometimes I think the same thing. I will write a post and then things will drastically change...the power of everyone sending wishes for change my way, maybe:)
ReplyDeleteAll the books in that series are amazing Lisa! In fact, I haven't come across a Phillipa Gregory book I didn't like. So, you will have plenty of listening material.
